Shikisai Hill

Shikisai Hill, located in the town of Biei in Hokkaido, Japan, is a breathtaking flower garden known for its stunning seasonal landscapes and vibrant displays of colorful flowers. The name “Shikisai” translates to “Four Seasons,” and this destination truly lives up to its name, offering ever-changing natural beauty throughout the year.

During the spring and summer months, Shikisai Hill comes alive with a magnificent array of flowers in bloom. The fields are adorned with a vibrant tapestry of various blossoms, including lavender, sunflowers, tulips, and many more. The sight of the rolling hills covered in a spectrum of colors is simply mesmerizing and draws visitors from near and far.

In the autumn, the landscape transforms as crops like wheat and potatoes create golden-hued fields, making it a striking contrast to the earlier season’s floral display.

Even in the winter, Shikisai Hill retains its charm, with snow blanketing the fields, creating a serene and picturesque winter wonderland.

The garden also features walking paths and observation decks that allow visitors to fully appreciate the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Tokachidake mountain range.

Shikisai Hill is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and witness the changing seasons through a riot of colors. It’s a must-visit destination for those seeking a tranquil escape into Hokkaido’s natural splendor and the charm of its seasonal landscapes.
